Bruce School Weekend Backpack Program

JKMF board members Robin and Brian Kelley presented a check for $5,000 to Nancy Kelley.

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 marks the 3-year anniversary of the unspeakable tragedy that took Jayna, Autumn, Haylee, and Sara from us so suddenly.  The Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation is dedicated to preserving the memory of our beloved Jayna and making the world a better place in her honor.  Over the 8 days leading up to the 3rd, Jayna’s 2021 gifts to the world will be announced.  Each of the 6 foundation board members, along with Jayna’s sister Terra, were asked to help us spread the available funds in order to make a broad impact on the community.  We can’t wait to show everyone how Jayna is continuing to improve MANY lives by her foundation’s support of 10 local causes!  She couldn’t have done this without the amazing generosity of so many people.  Thank you!!

Bruce School Weekend Backpack Program – $5,000

The Bruce School District is one that helped shape the lives of both Brian and Robin Kelley as that is where they attended and first met.  Brian’s aunt Nancy Kelley is in her fifth year of organizing “Back Pack Blessings” which is a program that helps provide food to at risk children on weekends.  There are over 45 children in the district that take advantage of this program which uses “Feed My People” food bank, but then supplements with local produce or other food appropriate for families to avoid hunger.  Nancy has been a constant in helping her community with needs such as this and we are so happy to help her and this great cause.  Our donation will primarily be used to purchase food so the program can keep going strong.
