Last June, for Jayna’s birthday, our Foundation raised money to purchase a play set through the Roc Solid Foundation for a local family who was dealing with their little boy who had cancer. 10-Month-old Athanasius, sadly, passed away and the playground build was delayed. Now this family has a little girl and we spent this Saturday finally building that play set for this amazing family and to honor their beautiful boy.

No one can understand losing a child until you have been through it. No one who has lost a child ever wants anyone else to go through something so unnatural and painful. The pain is powerful no matter how old the child was at their death, or how they died or whether you had a chance to say goodbye or not. It’s just hard.

We were so happy to help bring something positive to people that didn’t deserve cancer in their lives. It’s what the Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation is all about.
