Rusk County Trail’s End Camp

Rusk County’s Trails End Camp is a regional treasure located on the outskirts of Bruce, WI along the Chippewa River. The Kelley family has enjoyed many family reunions over the years at Trails End Camp, dating back to 1972. Trails End was chosen because of the decades of outdoor recreational opportunities it has provided to so many children. It is the home of many youth camps each year, which includes Girl Scout campers.

Jayna’s grandparents, Bob & Sheryl, spoke with Rusk County staff about some of the camp’s needs and an obstacle course was mentioned. They knew instantly this was something they wanted to help fund and develop. Their sons, Brent and Brian, also chose the camp for additional funds, bringing the total available gift to $15,000.

Bob and Sheryl recently presented the $15,000 gift to Charmaine Riddle and James Kahl with the Rusk County Buildings & Grounds Department. We can’t wait to design, purchase equipment and construct an amazing obstacle course in 2024! Stay tuned for updates along the way!
